AI Airlock Programme Manager
Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency

Hannah Bowden is the AI Airlock Programme Manager at the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), a role she has held since May 2024. In this role she has helped establish the AI Airlock Regulatory Sandbox pilot programme. With a robust background in portfolio, programme, and project management across central government and Department of Health and Social Care, she most recently worked as Portfolio Delivery Lead for the Adult Social Care Reform Portfolio.
Her educational foundation is deeply rooted in the sciences. She earned her PhD in Chemistry from the University of Reading, where her research focused on analytical chemistry. Prior to her doctoral studies, she completed an MSc in Chemical Research at the same institution.
