Dr Natasha Motsi is a Technical Programme Manager at the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), where she leads the UK’s flagship AI regulatory sandbox for medical devices, AI Airlock. She oversees cross-sector pilot projects with innovators, clinicians, NHS partners, regulators, and other stakeholders to explore key regulatory challenges in AI for healthcare - such as over-reliance on AI, post-market surveillance, and the use of synthetic data.
Natasha holds a PhD in Medical Microbiology and brings a strong foundation in both scientific research and healthcare strategy. Before joining the MHRA, she worked at a global market access consultancy, advising pharmaceutical and medtech companies on pricing, reimbursement, and access strategies across a range of international healthcare systems. Her current work focuses on developing agile, evidence-based regulatory frameworks that enable safe and effective innovation in digital health technologies.
