Annelies Heemskerk, PhD, Senior Inspector, Dutch Health and Youth Care Inspectorate (IGJ)

Dr. Heemskerk is senior inspector at the Dutch Health and Youth Care Inspectorate (IGJ), for over 6 years. She is part of the IGJ team that is responsible for inspecting Notified Bodies and acts as national expert during European joined assessments related to initial designations as well as re-assessments of Notified Bodies under MDR & IVDR.

Dr. Heemskerk is member of the MDCG IVD working group and previous member of the MDCG borderline and Classification as well as the MDCG Clinical Investigation and Evaluation working groups. Dr. Heemskerk has a background in Biomedical Neurosciences and in Medical Device consultancy.
